Trans and Nonbinary Youth Vienna (TNYV) is a youth and leisure group in Austria by and for trans and non-binary persons between 14 and 26 years old.
We offer an open, safe space for getting to know, exchanging and being together – with a strong focus on Vienna.
In addition to our meetings, we also see ourselves as Activist groupThe trans* makes youth visible and stands up for the rights of trans and non-binary young people in Austria and internationally.

Exchange and networking outside TNYV meetings
You are welcome to ask other participants for their contact/media platform profiles (such as Instagram). Please make sure not to put others under pressure and accept set limits for a safe and pleasant coexistence. Also, be sure to network with people your age, especially minors.
From the point of view of a caregiver, we do not actively ask for contact details or similar. If you want to network with a caregiver, please contact them and ask.

Is TNYV Accessible?
General:
- ÖGS interpretation (also cisgender or persons outside the age group) are always welcome.
- Marked assistant dogs are always welcome at TNYV meetings.
Regular monthly meetings:

Why is the group explicitly aimed at trans and non-binary people?
TNYV responds to the lack of safe, specific spaces for trans and non-binary youth where experiences can be shared without having to explain or justify.
How can I (even anonymously) contact TNYV if I have a question, a concern or want to provide feedback?
Drug use (including alcohol and smoking)
We are a Sober-Space.
Any active use of drugs* is strictly prohibited in the context of the TNYV meetings and should not be part of our content.
Smoking legal substances is at regular monthly meetings only in divisions B and C of the WUK courtyard.
We, the TNYV Orga Team, reserve the right to refer people who do not appear sober or stand out to our meetings.
* By drugs we also mean alcohol, cigarettes so tobacco and nicotine, etc.
Our regular monthly meetings
What is a regular monthly meeting?
Our regular monthly meetings usually take place in the afternoon.
In time for the start of the meeting, if some participants have already gathered, we form a circle and confront each other with names and the pronouns with which we would like to be addressed, as well as our response to the question of the meeting* before the others.
Very important: This step is Absolutely voluntary. If you do not want to introduce yourself to everyone, you can simply come to the meeting a little later or wait for the on-site presentation and then personally engage in your conversations with others. Introductions.
Also important: You can use any name and type of pronoun that you feel comfortable being addressed with. These can of course also change between or during a meeting. Just let your interlocutors know or contact someone from the Orga.
* The question of the meeting is a question that the Orga devises in advance to make the round of presentations more interesting. For example, "What is your favorite animal?"
After the presentation, we open our meetings. Anyone can enjoy themselves with any conversation, retreat or live out creatively in our craft corner, with pin machine and changing offers.
At our meetings there are also self-cooked Vegan food, drinks and snacks (Sweet, sour and salty).
Next to the main room with food, drinks, snacks, craft corner and space to entertain, move or sit; There is also a darkened Restroom. This is suitable for withdrawing or having more private conversations.
For the duration of the meeting, please also serve at the TNYV provided Stimtoy box.
How long is a regular monthly meeting?
Approximately 3.5 hours.
When you come and go, of course, you are completely free, but at the beginning of each regular monthly meeting there is a voluntary, short round of introductions (names and pronouns) and a question to each*n in the round, so it might be interesting to be there at the beginning of the meeting.

Special meetings, registration and deregistration for events
Why can I only register one person individually for events?
Due to our organizational and financing structure, we currently use free versions of plug-ins for our website. Therefore, sometimes not all desirable functions are available.
If you would like to participate in an event/meeting requiring registration, please repeat the short registration process for each participant – thank you!
How will my data be processed when registering for an event?
In principle, your specified data will only be stored and / or processed by us for processing the registration. We never use your information commercially or knowingly pass it on to third parties. Providing your email address is voluntary.*

How can I unsubscribe from an event?

Photos and video footage at TNYV meetings
On photos or video footage taken by the TNYV Orga of a meeting, e.g. B. to be posted or used on our website, you are visible as an adult only after voluntary, oral declaration of consent. By default, we make all participants unrecognizable before publication of recordings for their own safety and well-being.
Recordings of participants without prior express consensus of all persons recognizable/identifiable in the picture or video, is not permitted according to our protection and awareness concept and is handled by us accordingly.

Is TNYV about medical transition or counselling?
No. TNYV offers No medical, psychological or legal advice. It is a pure, voluntary and open leisure, exchange and community offer.
Are political or activist content covered?
Yes. We see ourselves as a politically motivated activist group and advocate for the visibility and rights of trans and non-binary young people.
Participation in activist activities is voluntary.
Our priority is community work.
Are sensitive issues discussed?
Yes, partially. Conversations arise from the needs of young people. There is no obligation or call to share personal experiences.

TNYV is there because there are not so many safe places for trans and non-binary youths.

We're a sober space. That means: All meetings are without drugs and alcohol.
- Drugs or alcohol are allowed at meetings not to be used.
- Smoking (also tobacco or nicotine) is only allowed at our monthly meetings in the area B and C of the WUK-inner farm.
- The TNYV team can exclude persons who do not come sober or notice from meetings.

Our regular monthly meetings
What is a regular monthly meeting?
Our monthly meetings are mostly in the afternoon.
In the beginning, we'll sit in circles. We introduce ourselves with our name, pronouns and the answer to a question that the TNYV team has chosen before (e.g. "What is your favorite animal?").
Important: You don't have to imagine if you don't want to. You can come later or wait for the lap.
You can use the pronouns and the name you feel good with. These can also change during the meeting. Just let me know if you want to be addressed differently.
After the lap, you can chat with others or become creative. There is a craft corner, a pin machine and changing offers.
You can always take a break. For this we have an extra room that is quiet and dark.
There are also cooked, vegan food, drinks and snacks (sweet, sour, salty).
There is therefore a room with food, drinks, snacks, the handicraft corner and space for entertainment or sitting. And a quieter room that is darkened. Here you can take a break.
You can also take a stim toy out of the box if you want it. Please return it at the end of the meeting.

Can adults accompany young people to a TNYV meeting?
We understand that sometimes an accompaniment is important.
Adults are allowed to accompany young people until their arrival or near the meeting.
Please accompany the person not directly into the event room.
Persons not between 14 and 26 years are old, may not normally participate. This protects our group.
